Projeto Emoções Tour
With a career spanning 52 years, Roberto Carlos is the number-one artist in Brazil as well as in Latin America. A singer and songwriter with over 500 songs to his credit, a youth idol, and the greatest representative of a cultural movement called Jovem Guarda in the 1960s, he found his identity in romantic songs and consolidated his success in the 1970s. Without clinging to fads, he forged his own path, leaving a trail of songs that speak of love, solidarity, and trust in tomorrow.
In April 2010, at the height of commemorations of his 50 years in music, Roberto Carlos was honored by the president of his record label, Sony Music, with a trophy for the more than 120 million products (records, CDs, DVDs and Blu-ray discs) sold around the world. At the time Richard Sender, President of Sony Music International, declared: “Michael Jackson is the king of pop; Elvis the King of Rock; and Roberto Carlos is the king of Latin music.”
